Kandy Barnette

Kandy Sue Barnette, 33 of Cowen passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at her home. She was born August 24, 1982 in Summersville to Roy and Jennifer Keiffer Ramsey and was a homemaker. She was Baptist by faith and loved fishing, especially catfishing; she was a NASCAR fan, particularly Jeff Gordon, enjoyed watching Duck Dynasty. Uncle Si was her favorite. She loved watching Andy Griffith, butterflies, hummingbirds, and fairies.

Kandy is survived by her parents; husband John David Barnette; son Hunter Barnette; step-daughter Pennie Barnette; sisters Miranda, Pamela, Cassandra, and Brianna; brothers Adam, Wesley, and Anthony; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other distant relatives and friends.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Cohen and the wonderful people at the David Lee Cancer Center and CAMC Memorial 5th South.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Adams-Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Kandy’s life will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Kessler and Jim Varney officiating. Interment will follow in Handschumacher Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Adams-Reed Funeral Home, PO Box 247 Cowen, WV 26206 to assist the family with arrangements.
