Emma Jean Hall

March 16, 1932 — May 28, 2017

Emma Jean Hall age 85 of Cowen passed away May 28, 2017 with her loving family by her side.  She was born March 16, 1932 in Nicholas County and was the daughter of the late Garrett and Violet Skaggs Williams.  Also preceding her in death were several brothers and sisters.

Emma Jean was a member of the Upperglade Holiness Church.  She loved to sing and play her mandolin; her children, grandchildren and her dog CoCo were the light of her life.   Some of her favorite hobbies were; cooking, sewing, crocheting, working in her garden and flower beds, and helping others in any way she could.

She is survived by her husband Doy; children, Nancy Newhouse and her husband Mike, Patricia White and her husband Bob, Steven Hall and his wife Karen, Stanley Hall and his wife Deseree and Mary Hall; 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; brother Bobby Neal; sisters, Ann and Betty Foster and a special friend, Louise Gray.

Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Clarence McCourt officiating.  Burial will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin.  Friends may call 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
