Barbara Jo Harris

Barbara Harris, 59, of Summersville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Summersville Regional Medical Center.

Born July 31, 1967 in Summersville, she was the daughter of the late Judy Elaine (Rock) and Ronald Earl Barr.

Barbara was the most kind hearted and giving woman; she never knew a stranger. She enjoyed spending time with her cat, Smokey; she also enjoyed drawing and coloring pictures.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, David Harris; children: Sharon Elaine Harris and Michael Gage Harris; siblings, Eddie Barr, Matilda Ann Barr, and Ronald Dale Barr; numerous friends and relatives to mourn her passing.

Services to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held 1:00pm, Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Downtain Chapel UMC in Nettie, with Pastor William Jones officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation one hour prior to the service from noon-1:00pm.
