Beulah A. Selman, 86, born June 16, 1927 at Wainsville, went home peacefully to be with Jesus and her loved ones on July 17, 2013 after a long Illness.

Beulah was preceded in death by her spouse; Delbert (Deb) Selman, her parents:   Homer and Hattie Carpenter Tharp, brothers; Adrain, Peter, Denzil (Eggman), Elmer (Sworpe), Arnold, and Marco, sisters; Eula and Edria.Those left to cherish her memory are her son; Richard (Lorriane) Selman of Charleston, grandchildren; John Selman of Charleston,and Lisa Selman and great-grandsons ; Lukas and Alex Delgra of Cornelius, N.C., sister; Frances (Ray) Wiey of North Port, FL, sister-in-laws; Beulah Selman, Genevieve Selman and Kathryn Tharp and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Beulah and her husband Deb owned and operated thier own business, "Selman's Place", for 40 years. She was a Christian and longtime member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Camden-on-Gauley. She loved children and was involed in the chilldren & bus ministry with her husband.  She also served in other areas of ministry. She loved God's creation and the West Virginia mountains and rivers, including birds, flowers and animals. She was a friend to many stray animals especially cats. There are many treasured memories by family and friends of camping with Deb & Beulah. She was a great cook and was skilled in canning and perservation of garden produce and wild game. She was known for her " cathead " biscuits. She always had a listening ear, she loved her family,friends and neighbors.  Sheenjoyed talking and visiting with them and offered wisdom and counsel to many.

A special 'Thank You " to Senior Services  of Webster County and to the care givers Roma Jean, Shary and Alta for the loving care, A special Thank-You to St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, the doctors, nurses and staff of the ICU  for the care, compassion and hope offered to Beulah and her family.

A celebration of Beulah's life will be held at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen, WV.  Friends may join the family for visitation Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Sunday July 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at  the funeral home with the Pastor's Bud Cochran and Rev. Tom Kessler officiating. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Missionary Baptist Church, Camden-on-Gauley, WV. 26208.l
