Curtis Wardell Wilfong, 84 of Webster Springs, WV died on October 19, 2011 at Webster Continuous Care Center in Cowen.  He was born August 2, 1927 in Valley Head to J. Wardell and Ruth Arbogast Wilfong and was a coal miner.  He lived most of his adult life in Webster County and was a Christian by faith.

Curtis is survived by his son Sherman Mardell Wilfong of Craigsville; daughter Brenda Flanagan of Martinsburg; step-sons Edmond Boggs of Richwood, Michael Boggs of Denver, CO, Tom Boggs of Cowen, Donald Boggs of Richmond, VA, Robert Boggs, Charles Boggs, and Davis Boggs all of Webster Springs; brothers Sherman Wilfong of Stanton, VA and Bob Wilfong of Richwood; sistes Dollie Tacy of Rowlesburg and Gloria Yvonne Wilfong of MI; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lorene; children Curtis and Jackson Wilfong; and step-sons Jim and Larry Boggs.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 5-8 PM at Adams-Reed Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at 2 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Lay officiating.  Interment will follow in West Virginia Memorial Gardens.
