Dexter Gale Johnson, 89 of Clay passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston. He was born October 10, 1936 in Webster Springs.

He was a member of the Gassaway Masonic Lodge #133 and was a United States Coast Guard veteran. Before he retired, he was a coal miner and a school bus driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Priscilla Seiwell and many extended family, friends, and neighbors to mourn his passing.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin. Prayer Services will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow.
