Joan "Jo Ann" Stallard 65 of Birch River Rd., Cowen, WV, died on Oct. 1, 2010, in Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV. She was born May 21, 1945, in Barnett Run, Cowen, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents: Estel D. & Margaret Blankenship Boggs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
She was a homemaker and lived in Virginia and Maryland. She had spent the last 40 years in Birch River and attended the Walnut Grove Community Church. She was a 1963 graduate of Cowen High School and enjoyed playing music and attending church.
She is survived by her husband: James Stallard of Birch River, son: Ronald James Stallard of Summersville, WV, daughters: Diane Bragg of Elyria, OH and Melissa Tillman of Amherst, OH, sisters: Betty Jo Fowler of Boggs, WV, Mary Ruth Baughman of Summersville, WV, and Pauline Miller of Cowen, WV, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
