Joseph Eugene Hurst

Joseph Eugene Hurst, born August 24,1953, passed away from a short illness on August 14, 2024.
He was a coal miner until his retirement, a pilot, an IR 50/50 marksman and an avid outdoorsman. He was a Scottish Rites Freemason, he held the highest honor of Worthy Patron in the Eastern Star. He had many more accomplishments, but mostly, he was the greatest man, father, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Rose Marie Hurst.
He is survived by: Lisa Hurst; his bonus daughter. Peggy Hurst-Brown, his daughter. Jason (Brooklynn) Brown, his grandson and his pride and joy.
He loved all of his family and friends.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no services.
