Keith Eugene Williamson, 77 of Summersville, WV passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. He was born on May 31, 1948, in Richwood, WV.
Keith graduated from Concord University in 1970 and went on to dedicate more than 35 years of his life to Craigsville Foodland before he retired. Beyond his career, he gave back generously as a volunteer with Craigsville Little League and for over 15 years, he could be found at the ballfield—coaching, volunteering, and cheering on the kids. His encouragement, laughter, and love for the game left an imprint on generations of young players.
Music was a lifelong passion of Keith’s, especially the songs of Bob Dylan, which spoke to his heart and spirit. He was also a devoted baseball fan who faithfully cheered for his beloved St. Louis Cardinals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugenia and Chester Max Williamson.
He is survived by his best friend and former wife, Darlene Groves Williamson of Tioga, WV; daughters: Lindsay (Andy) Jordan of Webster Springs, WV and Myranda (John) Clutter of Cowen, WV; grandchildren: Layla, Ivory, and Sully Clutter and Jax Jordan; brothers: David Williamson of Summersville, WV and Jerry Williamson of Lancaster, OH; nieces: Darcy Williamson, Haley Kistler and Vanessa Williams; nephew Max Williamson; and his best friend of 50 years Dave Rogers of Craigsville, WV, who was more like a brother than a friend. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and neighbors who will remember him for his intelligence, quick wit and humor, and to his brothers, he was the funniest person they ever knew—a source of laughter and joy in every gathering.
A gathering to celebrate Keith’s life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to local youth baseball programs, honoring Keith’s enduring love of the game.
