Rosa Lenora (Holcomb) Lee, 91, of Erbacon passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Summersville Regional Medical Center.
Born April 19, 1934 in Erbacon, she was the daughter of the late Walter Dale and Ocie Audrey (Carpenter) Holcomb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Kenneth Lee; siblings: Walter Holcomb, Audrey Cunningham, Anna Mae Holcomb, Charlotte Fern Tonkin, and Donna Newham; grandchildren: Misty Dawn Lee Short and Christopher Hines; great-granddaughter, Darlene Denise Riffle; daughters-in-law: Debbie Lee and Darlene (Kay) Lee; and son-in-law, Chuck Brooks.
Rosie was a dedicated wife and mother. The love she shared with her husband, Enoch, was a profound and enduring bond that touched the lives of many. She was the love of his life, and he was hers; they were truly soulmates. Together, they raised a large family on the principle that true love and commitment are essential. She made sure that each and every person felt a special love and had a full belly every time they entered her house. She would make special trips out into fields and forests to gather wild greens and flowers and incorporate them into many delicious meals; and boy, could she cook! She enjoyed music, whether it be listening, singing or dancing to it. Her voice was beautiful and her family loved to sit and listen to her sing. Her love and adoration for her children and grandchildren was second to none; and she enjoyed spending every moment possible with them (especially the babies). She was very creative and would repurpose and reupholster furniture, bringing old pieces back to life and adding years of use to them. She was also a very proud member of the Red Hat Society.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of an astounding 75 years, Enoch Lee; children: Wayne (Brenda) Lee, Latticia Massey, Preston Lee, Nathan (June) Lee, Alvin Lee, and Kathy Brooks; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Holcomb; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
