David Collins

David Wayne Collins, 60, of Craigsville, passed away June 7, 2021 at his home.

Born April 27, 1961 in Richwood, he was the son of the late Darrold B. Collins and Joyce Carol Sparks Sill.

Dave was contractor by trade.  He was a kind and gentle man with a big heart.  He loved his family, and we loved him very much.  He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, and family gatherings.  He was an avid antique collector.

Dave leaves behind his only son, Adam Collins, 31, of Charleston; seven siblings: Skip Collins and wife, Patsy of Sutton, Marcella Collins of Craigsville, Ann Adkins and husband, Junior of Craigsville, Sharena Lawson of Craigsville, Anthoney “Joe” Ervin and wife, Christine of Camden-on-Gauley, Nonie O’Dell and husband, Jerry of Summersville, and Steven Ervin of TN; his Aunt Patty and Uncle Richard Green of Cowen, Uncle Fred Sparks and Aunt Jeannie, also of Cowen; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services to celebrate Dave’s life will be held 3pm, Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen, with Pastor Doug Martin officiating.  Burial will follow along side of his mother at Woods Cemetery, Camden-on-Gauley.

Dave was very proud of his son, and he loved his sisters and his family.  He will be sadly missed.  Rest in peace, Dave.
